When it does arrive, it will circle the map a couple of times before leaving entirely. The Cargo Ship – also known as the “CCSC Lazarus” – is another Rust ‘Monument’, but unlike other in-game Monuments which are structures part of the landscape that do not move, the Cargo Ship is a bit different.įor one thing, it only spawns periodically in-game, appearing every 2 to 4 in-game days. One of the more popular monuments in Rust is the Cargo ship, and if you’re wondering when it might release on Rust Console Edition, then look no further than this guide to everything you need to know. Monuments act as special locations in the game with high-level enemies and top-tier loot, sometimes also with tricky puzzles to solve too. Whilst the majority of features were available at launch, there were/are several BIG features missing from the console edition, most notably, in-game monuments. Tell us, would you like to have one of these gamemodes added to the console version? Be sure to visit our Twitter page or join our Discord to let us know.Rust has been playable since 2013, but the console edition only came to PS4 and Xbox in May 2021, but even then, it only arrived with a fraction of the content available to PC players. We wanted to mention it so everyone is aware of it, but we are still in the early stages of our investigation. Only one type of event will be available at a time.Īnother feature that we have started investigating is the Hardcore and Softcore modes from Rust PC. Event servers will rotate from time to time but they will not have a fixed schedule. In December we plan to introduce the event servers on the Main Branch, with the first being the Target Practice. The changes for this update will be handpicked from the Staging Branch Stability update to make sure we control and maintain the stability over the Christmas season. More details will be made available once we are ready.Īt the end of November we plan to have a bug fixing and performance update on the Main Branch. The changes we plan to introduce should improve the experience a lot and then get the servers ready for a Main Branch release.įinally, at the end of November we will bring the Power Surge update to the staging branch so players can test it out. In the last Dev Blog post we mentioned that some of these server types would come to the main branch, but in order for us to do that we need to make sure players have a solid experience with them. Then, mid November we plan to introduce changes based on players feedback for the Target Practice and Builders Paradise servers. These changes should help make the gameplay experience feel a lot smoother. We’ve also added a few tweaks to this upcoming update in order to reduce the frame stutters. Shadows, lights and water reflection will all be improved in order to increase the performance. Soon (early November) we plan to release an update for the Staging Branch to test a lot of bug fixes and performance enhancing changes. With that said, some developers have continued work on the electricity update, and we plan to release part of Powersurge on to the staging branch before the end of the year ( Plans might change as we get closer to the release). Like we mentioned, bug fixing is still the main focus of the team. We can only thank you for all the support you’ve been showing for Rust Console Edition! The feedback after the release of update 1.54 has been very positive, which makes us really happy! In fact our last monthly wipe had such a massive influx of players, that the servers were having trouble connecting everyone to the game. Knowing that, we’ve been acting fast anytime that happens.Īll major exploits have been resolved and the total amount of bugs at the moment is much smaller than it was a few months ago. The end goal of any development team is always to have a bug free game that works 100% of the time with no crashes, but sometimes even minor fixes can introduce brand new issues on a live service game. We’ve released four updates with a huge amount of fixes in each one, in order to improve the game for our playerbase. In the last couple of months since the release of Oceanbound, we’ve been doing everything we can to fix as many issues as possible. The short answer is, bug fixes, stability and performance. We want to provide the best and most fun for all of you! We want to do more events like this and keep improving on them, because clearly you like them. Remember you have until the 3rd of November to participate in it, and enjoy the exclusive items introduced for this spooky time of the year. It looks like a lot of you are having fun with our first ever Halloween event.
